Rs 5 lakh to restart shop damaged in fire, natural calamity

Haryana government will give compensation of up to Rs 5 lakh to small shopkeepers and kiosk owners who suffer loss due to fire or any natural calamity.

The decision was taken as small shopkeepers or kiosk owners did not have capital to restart business after loss or damage caused by fire, electrical hazards, flood and other natural calamities, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, P Raghavendra Rao, said today.

Rao directed the civic bodies to identify vending zones in their respective areas.
