An amount of Rs 8.5 lakh was stolen from a bank in Noida sector 18 this morning, police said.
The incident took place when a cashier went out of his cabin without locking it, police said.
When he was out of his cabin, a man stopped him and enquired about fixed deposit details.
The accused, meanwhile, entered his cabin and stole the cash, they said.
"Investigations are on. We are viewing the CCTV footage," Deputy Superintendent of Police Shivram Yadav said.
