Rs 9 lakh looted from ATM

Some unidentified persons looted Rs

nine lakh from an ATM of the Punjab National Bank near Sundernagar here and later set the machine on fire.

The incident took place last night. The accused damaged the ATM, installed on the campusof a private engineering college,looted cash and then set fire to the machine, police said.

As per bank authorities, the miscreants took away Rs nine lakh.

A case has been registered at Sundernagar police stationand an employee of a private agency detained for questioning, police said.
