Rs eight lakh cash burgled from locked house

Burglars looted Rs eight lakh kept inside a locked house here, police said today.

Ravi, the house owner, left for a hill station along with his family on Saturday last after keeping the money, part of Rs 50 lakh received in a land deal, they said.

On their return last night, they found the doors of the house open and tiles of its roof removed.
