The condition of senior Revolutionary Socialist Party leader Abani Roy, admitted to a city hospital after suffering brain stroke, is "critical", a RSP leader said today.

"His condition is critical and he is given ventilator support in ICU. There is a rupture in his brain and his respiratory system too has been badly affected," party MP N K Premachandran said.

79-year-old Roy, a three-time Parliamentarian and RSP central secretariat member, suffered brain hemorrhage on Saturday when he was at Premachandran's residence here.

"My staff then took him to RML hospital the same day. On Monday, he was shifted to a private hospital in central Delhi where he is being treated now," Premachandran said.
