Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today flagged off a "run for unity" organised by the Directorate of Education to highlight the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' commemorating the 139th birth anniversary of the first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhai Patel on the beach road here today.
Students from various schools and also volunteers of National Service Scheme participated in the marathon.
Chief Minister earlier administered the national unity pledge and among those who took the pledge included the Education Minister T Thiagarajan, legislators.
