S Railway takes steps for enhanced security of passengers

The division of the Southern Railway Friday said it has taken initiatives to ensure the safety and security of passengers on station premises in the wake of a complaint of alleged harassment of a woman here on January 5.

The railway has sought details of all contract workers in railway stations and instructed the contractors to initiate police verification on the workers, a press release from the railway said.
