Scented tobacco, gutka worth Rs 14 lakh seized

Scented tobacco and gutka worth Rs 14 lakhs was seized from the city this evening, police said.

Based on a tip-off, a team of Jinsi police intercepted a rickshaw and seized the consignment this evening.

Two persons have been apprehended in this connection, police said adding that the concerned vehicle has been seized.

A ban on tobacco and tobacco-related products is currently in operation in Maharashtra.
