The family of a 13-year-old girl today registered an FIR with the Hazaribagh police after she did not return home from school three days ago, the police said here today.

The girl, daughter of a branch manager of a bank at Bishnugarh in the district, did not return home from August 2, Deputy Superintendent of Police (rural) Satish Kumar Jha told reporters here.

Her father lodged the FIR today and he suspected former tutor of the girl could be behind his daughter's disappearance, the police officer added.

The school is situated about 10 km from her home, the DSP said.
