School Headmaster held for sexually harassing girl students

A government school headmaster was today arrested for allegedly sexually harassing girl students here, police said.

The accused identified as Valan, a headmaster of an elementary school at Maranadu, was booked under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, they said.

District Education Officer Abdul Raheem, who conducted a departmental investigation, in his report had said the Headmaster had sexually harassed the school children.

He lodged a complaint to the police based on which the accused was arrested, police said.
