School principal arrested on attempt to rape charges

A school principal was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a class 9th student here, police said today.

The incident came to light when an FIR was lodged by the girl's parents against the 55-year-old principal, identified as Paras Nath Yadav.

The girl went to the accused's room for getting his signature when he allegedly tried to rape her and also manhandled her, police said.

The girl later narrated the incident to her parents, they said, adding, the accused was arrested last night.
