Scientist arrested for 'sexual harassment'

A scientist working with a scientific institution here was arrested today for allegedly sexually harassing a student, police said.

The student, who was studying M.Sc, complained to police on May 18 and a case on charges of sexual harassment and also SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was registered, a police official said.

The scientist was today produced before a local court and remanded to judicial custody, the official added.
