BJP West Bengal president Rahul Sinha today said the State Election Commission should act to ensure free and fair elections in tomorrow's municipality elections in Asansol and Salt Lake.
Sinha also urged people to come out in large numbers and vote in tomorrow's elections.
Alleging that the state government by deploying only a "handful" of police personnel (over 2000) for around 4.5 lakh voters in Salt Lake, was "trying to loot tomorrow's vote", Sinha said, "If there is no political influence on our police, I am sure that they are capable of hosting free and fair elections."
