Security has been steeped up on Yamuna Expressway after the wife of a Wing Commander was robbed of ornaments and cash worth nearly two lakh by some unidentified men.
The incident took place Friday on the Expressway near village Avagarh falling under Naujeel police station area.
"The incharge of Toll Plaza police out post has been replaced and sent to Sri Krishna Janmasthan," Senior Superintendent of Police, Manjil Saini said.
"Station House Officers of Naujheel, Mant, Raya, Jamuna Paar and Baldeo areas have been provided with additional motorbikes for patrolling. The barbed wire near Avagadh village has also been asked to be mended," Saini said.
Saini said three more vehicles would be deployed for patrolling on the expressway.
