Security guard killed as gun misfires

A security guard of a private bank at Kodialbail here died today when his gun misfired, police said.

The incident happened when the 55-year-old guard was on duty, police said.

He was going to the toilet on the first floor of the bank when the double barrel rifle in his hand accidentally fired and he was killed on the spot, police said, quoting eyewitnesses.

Police personnel and a forensic team rushed to the spot of the incident and investigation was on.
