Select base metals declines on lower industrial demand

Most of the base metals including copper, brass utensils scrap, tin and nickel declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling amid lower demand from industrial users.

Nickel, tin and copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 695, Rs 1,295 and Rs 341 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 698, Rs 1,295 and Rs 344.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 374, Rs 369 and Rs 402 as against to Rs 376, Rs 371 and Rs 404 yesterday.
 

Copper armature, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 365, Rs 360, Rs 270 and Rs 279, respectively.
