Select commodity prices decline

The prices of wheat, maida and sooji declined while urad dal moved up in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Thoor dal, moong dal, gram dal and sugar prices ruled steady in the market.

(The foodgrains market closed on account of traders day yesterday).

Wheat moved down to Rs 2,400 from last week's closing rate of Rs 2,500 per quintal.

Likewise, maida (90 kg) and Sooji (90 kg) went down by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,400 and Rs 2,500 from Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,600 respectively.

In contrast, urad dal rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,800 from its previous closing rate of Rs 7,600.
 

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,300 Urad Dal Rs 7,800 Moong Dal Rs 9,600 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 3,300 Wheat Rs 2,400 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,500.
