Select copper edges up on mute trade

Press Trust of India Mumbai
Copper scrap heavy and copper armiture prices edged-up in an otherwise mute non-ferrous metal market here today on mild demand from industrial users.

Globally, the industrial metal copper was barely changed, after gaining about half a percent in the previous session when US markets were shut for a holiday, while zinc prices were underpinned by a strike at a Peruvian mine.

Copper scrap heavy and copper armiture inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 475 and Rs 461 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 474 and Rs 460, respectively.
