Select copra remains firm on rising demand

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices continued to rule firm at the spices market here today due to increased stockists demand in view of upcoming festivies amid paucity of stocks.

Elsewhere, copra edible moved up further on good retail offtake.

Black pepper, ginger and copra Rajapur maintained its steady trend in the absence of market-moving factors.

Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode both rose by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,050 and Rs 4,950 as compared to Tuesday's closing level of Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,900, respectively.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai also edged higher by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 5,850 from Rs 5,825 previously.
