Select pulses slide on subdued demand

Select pulse prices fell up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.

Traders said easing demand from retailers at current levels against adequate stocks mainly kept pressure on select pulse prices.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,750-8,150 and Rs 8,550-8,750 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 8,750-9,350 and Rs 9,150-9,450 per quintal respectively.

Moong and its dal chilka local shed Rs 50 each at Rs 6,600-7,300 and Rs 7,400-7,900 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,400-7,700 and Rs 8,200-8,300 per quintal respectively.
 

Gram, gramdal local and best quality too ended lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,450-5,150, Rs 4,750-4,950 and Rs 4,850-5,150 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 7,750-8,150, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 8,550-8,750, urad best Rs 8,750-9,350, Dhoya Rs 9,150-9,450, Moong Rs 6,600-7,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,400-7,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,400-7,700 and best quality Rs 8,200-8,300.

Masoor small Rs 6,700-6,800, bold Rs 6,700-6,900, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,750-7,850, best quality Rs 7,850-7,950, Malka local Rs 7,800-8,150, best Rs 7,900-8,200, Moth Rs 5,550-5,850, Arhar Rs 7,400-7,550, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 8,800-9,000.

Gram Rs 4,450-5,150, Gramdal (local) Rs 4,750-4,950, best quality Rs 4,850-5,150, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,080, Rajdhani Rs 2,080, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,650-5,750, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,200-6,400, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,300-5,700, Peas white Rs 2,775-2,800 and green Rs 2,775-2,875.
