Prices of wheat, maida and sooji increased while urad dal decreased as rest all other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.
Wheat, maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) opened the week at Rs 2,700, Rs.2,500 and Rs.2,800 with the increase of Rs.50, Rs.50 and Rs.150 each from its previous rate of Rs.2,650, Rs.2,450 and Rs.2,650 respectively and maintained the same rate till today after Deepavali Holiday on Oct 22.
In contrast, urad dal declined by Rs.100 per quintal to Rs.7,500 since Monday from its previous rate of Rs.7,600.
Thoor dal,moong dal,gram dal,sugar remained steady throughout the week.
