Senior girl student molested on university campus

A second year MA girl student of Rabindra Bharati University was molested and beaten up on the campus allegedly by seven students, police sources said.

The seven students who allegedly molested and assaulted the senior girl student last night belonged to a rival student union, the sources said.

The victim was rescued by her friends and a police complaint was filed.

RBU VC, Sabyasachi Basu Rai Chaudhuri, said that the girl student did not file a complaint with the university.

"Police officials visited the campus and asked for our cooperation in the investigation. We have assured support," Chaudhuri said.
