Set up State Service Commission: Forum

: The Puducherry French Indian Rights Forum has demanded that government initiate immediate steps to set up a Public Service Commission as in other States to ensure that recruitment to various posts in A and B categories in government services benefits the locals.

Forum convenor M Ilango said in a release here that want of a separate Public Service Commission was a major hindrance to candidates from the Union Territory in getting postings in the A and B groups..

Earlier it felicitated the octogenarian and freedom fighter A.Arulraj at the celebration of the second anniversary of the Forum.

Speaker of Puducherry Assembly V Sabapathy was among those who felicitated the freedom fighter and recalled Arulraj's ed services in the freedom movement of PUducherry.
