Seven children rescued from traffickers

Seven children, including three girls, were rescued by police from two traffickers at Dolegaon in Kamrup district today.

Acting on a tip off, a police team rescued the children from a house where the traffickers had kept them before taking them to Chennai, a police officer said.

The traffickers, who were arrested, were to engage them in fish industry, the police officer said adding that the children hailed from Bindukuri and Rangapara villages of Sonitpur district.
