Seven persons were today killed and 17 others injured in two different road accidents, one near Perambalur and another near Palani in Dindigul district, police said.
Four persons were killed and four injured when a Tiruchirappalli-bound government bus from Chennai hit a stationary lorry at Kazhuthur near Perambalur early this morning. The injured were hospitalised, police said.
In another accident at Ambiligai near Palani, three pilgrims were killed when their van hit a roadside tree early today.
Three persons, who were seriously injured, had been admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital, while 10 others to the local Hospital, police added.
