Seven people killed in road accidents in Telangana

Seven people, including two children, were killed and three others injured in two separate road accidents in Nizamabad and Gadwal districts of Telangana today, police said.

A couple and their two children died on the spot after their car was involved in a collision with a lorry at Nizamabad this afternoon, a senior police official said.

In another mishap, three members of a family, including two women, were killed when their car overturned after hitting a road divider near a toll plaza in Gadwal district at around 4.45 am, police said.

Three other occupants were injured.

The car driver seemed to have dozed off and lost control over the vehicle resulting in the mishap,they added.

 

The injured have been admitted to hospital.
