A seven-year-old boy was found drowned, with both hands tied with a rope, in a plastic factory in the rural Sancheri area here, police said today.

Ankush, student of seventh standard, was missing since Tuesday. Last evening, his body was found in a chamber of the plastic factory, where his mother works as a labourer.

The deceased's family alleged he was murdered, however, police is probing it as an accident.

According to police, Ankush had gone to the factory with food for his mother on Tuesday, but did not return. His family lodged a missing complaint.

The child might have accidentally fallen in the chamber and his hands got entangled in the rope, said Circle Officer of Sadar Police Station Bhram Singh.

The body has been sent for post mortem and further investigations are on, he said.
