Several complaints about corruption in Tihar received

The grievance redressal cell started by the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government had received several complaints, including that of corruption inside Tihar jail, which were forwarded to the prison authorities.

"We have received several complaints which were reported to the grievance redressal cell by the families of the inmates," Director General (Prisons) Vimlaa Mehra said.

Asked about the kind of complaints, Mehra said that people complained about corruption and that they have been wrongly implicated among others, she said.

"We are looking into complaints which are found to be genuine", she said.

So far, 25 such complaints have been forwarded to them by the grievance cell, she said.
