'Shaheed Swabhimaan Yatra' concludes after covering 25,000 km

A 90-day-long "Shaheed Swabhimaan Yatra", aimed at instilling the "spirit of patriotism" and generate awareness about martyrs, today concluded after covering 29 states and 25,000 km.
According to organiser- Swabhimaan Desh Ka, a Non Government Organisation (NGO), the 'yatra' was flagged off from India Gate on March 23 by Army Chief General Bipin Rawat.
According to a statement, the yatra consisted of a group of 15 young men.
Yatra crossed 29 states including Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Assam, Bihar and other states.
"As part of the yatra, a concluding function was organised here in Delhi today where Major General GD Bakshi (retired) was the chief guest and about 100 martyrs and their families were honoured," the statement stated.
