Shelling kills 22 in Ukraine's rebel-held Lugansk

Shelling has killed at least 22 residents in the besieged rebel-held bastion of Lugansk in east Ukraine over the past 24 hours, a local official said today.

"There was an artillery bombardment of the eastern areas of the city. A bus, shop and several apartment blocks were hit," an official from the regional administration told AFP on condition of anonymity.
