TV series 'Sherlock' creator Steven Moffat has not ruled out the possibility of a movie on the modern detective series.

The creator of the modern take on Arthur Conan Doyle's series revealed that a Sherlock movie might not be completely out of the question yet, reported Contactmusic.

"We don't rule anything out," the 52-year-old co-creator of 'Sherlock' said.

With a fourth and a fifth season already in the making, Moffat feels that there is something special about the characters starring in the series.

"There is something quite special about the fact that it is on television, starring those two (Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman)," he said.

"That wasn't the case in the beginning. Mark (co-creator) and I sometimes imagine what would happen if we had written it now and were saying, 'We'd like Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman for the parts!'" he added.
