Shinde's chopper lands on wet ground

A helicopter carrying Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today landed on wet ground here following which its wheels got stuck in the mud.

Shinde was not hurt in the incident and went on to attend a CRPF function where he inaugurated the Academy for Riot Control.

The incident happened when the Mi-17 helicopter carrying Shinde landed on a wet ground in the CRPF camp here.

"The wheels dug in the wet ground but there was nothing untoward. The Home Minister was safe and the same chopper flew him back to Delhi," a senior CRPF official said.
