Amid increased focus in Congress on social media, Union minister Kapil Sibal will launch his personal website tomorrow.
With this, Sibal joins the league of several Congress leaders, including avid twitterati Shashi Tharoor, Digvijay Singh, Manish Tewari, Ajay Maken and Shakeel Ahmed who are active on the microblogging site.
Some of the leaders also have their Facebook accounts. Besides personal communication, the leaders have mostly been using these social media tool to disseminate party's view point on various issues.
There have been times when virtual wars have broken out in the cyberspace between BJP and Congress on contentious issues.
Since Sibal had played a key role in party's media strategy in 2009 Lok Sabha elections, the launch of a personal website by him before the assembly elections in five states in November and December and Lok Sabha elections due in May, 2014, is being watched with keenness.
