Siblings kidnapped in Malaysia arrive in Maha after release

Two brothers from Maharashtra's district, who were allegedly kidnapped while on a business tour to Malaysia, arrived here today after being released in the south east Asian country, police said.

(36) and Kaustubh Prakash Vaidya (31), from the district's Dombivali area, had gone to on August 1 after their fish export firm called Rock Frozen Food landed an order from Malaysia-based Mis Lee Frozen Foods.

Their uncle, Rajiv Vaidya, had filed a complaint of kidnapping with police on August 4.

According to the complaint, one of the brothers called up home on August 2 at around 10.30 pm to inform the family that they had been kidnapped by unknown persons who were demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore.
