The meeting in Gurudwara Chilla Sahab chaired by Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh of Damdami Taksal ended with a resolution that final course of action in the struggle of justice in the current matter be finalised by the heads of all Sikh Takths at Shri Akal Takht.
The speakers in the meeting said the district administration, especially the police, had failed to reign in the anti-social and illegal activities of the Dera followers who gathered in large numbers with arms on the day of the attack.
The congregation demanded to register a case against Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh under section 120 of IPC for conspiring against the Sikhs and directing his followers to attack the Sikh devotees and Gurdwara in the town.
They also demanded immediate transfer of Sirsa Superintendent of Police Rajshri Singh, who according to them has failed in performing her duties.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner J Ganeshan and SP Rajshri Singh took out a march in the sensitive areas of the town with several hundred armed personnel from RAF, HAP and Haryana police to instill confidence among people.
In an official statement issued this evening, the Deputy Commissioner announced that educational institutions in the district would remain closed tomorrow and reopen on Monday.
