Silver prices edged up by 0.26 per cent to Rs 33,906 per kg in futures trading today as participants widened positions on positive global cues.
In futures trading, silver for delivery in far-month May rose by Rs 87, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 33,906 per kg in business turnover of 219 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in March contracts edged up by Rs 81, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 33,470 per kg in 6,637 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to strengthening of positions by speculators, tracking a firming trend overseas.
Globally, silver rose 0.36 per cent to USD 13.82 an ounce in London.
