"As an artist, I think with the coming together of Bengali popular singers from two coutries separated by border, 'Gaan Piriti' will give the music lovers a rich and varied taste of contemporary Bangla music on Valentine's day."
The concert was organized by Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF).
"We understand the mutual respect for art that Bengal and Bangladesh share and we are confident that people will go back with something to cherish for a long time, SVF co-founder Mahendra Soni said in a statement.
On the occasion of Valentine's day, a music video of contemporary Bengali songs 'Tomar Akash' was also launched on YouTube by Shusmita Anis from Bangladesh, who is the niece of legendary Nazrul Geeti exponent Firoza Begum.
"Its a gift from Bangladesh on this Valentines day. The music video connects two countries -- India and Nepal -- and spreads love through my song," she said.
