Single parenting means planning: Drew Barrymore

Singer Drew Barrymore has said her key to single parenting is having "constant plans" in place to make holidays run smoothly.

The 41-year-old actress finalised her divorce with art consultant Will Kopelman, with whom she has two daughters, four-year-old Olive and Frankie, two, in August this year, and says whilst the former couple are still communicating, it takes thorough planning to make holidays like Halloween run smoothly.

Asked how she makes single parenting work, the "50 First Dates" actress said, "I think plans. Constant plans. We, as a family, have three dates for this Halloween.
