A single window system would be implemented in all the ninety Assembly constituencies in Haryana to assist the candidates contesting Assembly polls.

State Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad, while presiding over a meeting of representatives of various political parties today, said a helpline number will also be installed to assist them.

He said with the setting up of this system, the political parties and the candidates would be able to get certain permissions like for vehicles, loud speakers and route under a single roof.

Walgad said all the political parties have been directed to ensure the strict compliance of the Model Code of Conduct.

Besides, they have been directed to furnish timely information regarding their election expenditure.

While filing the nomination papers, the candidate would ensure that not even a single column is left blank, he added.

Walgad said that to ensure peaceful conduct of Assembly elections in the state, which would be held on October 15, adequate security arrangements would be made.

CCTV cameras and web-based cameras would be installed and Micro Observers, Police Observers and General Observers would be deputed too. Apart from this, 140 Companies of Paramilitary Forces have been sought from the Centre.
