Senior advocate of Gawahati High Court Sishir Dutta has been appointed as the new Advocate General of Arunachal Pradesh.
In exercise of powers conferred by Article 165(1) of the Constitution, Governor J P Rajkhowa appointed Dutta as the Advocate General for the state yesterday, an official release said.
The Governor also appointed Anil Srivastava as Additional Advocate General-cum-Standing Counsel for the state in the Supreme Court, the release said today.

Srivastava would represent the state in appeals, review, revisions and miscellaneous cases before the Supreme Court and Guwahati High Court, it said.
On February 1, Rajkhowa had terminated the services of state's Advocate General Ranji Thomas and Additional Advocate General R H Nabam.
