Sisi sworn in as Egypt's president

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, former Egyptian army chief, was today sworn-in as the country's president after a landslide election victory in May elections.

Sisi, 59, took the oath in a ceremony at the Constitutional Court, almost a year since the ouster of Islamist leader Mohamed Morsi last year.

He is the seventh president of Egypt.
