A Special Investigation Team has been constituted to trace the missing Lithuanian woman tourist who arrived in Kerala for Ayurvedic treatment recently, a top police official said today.

DGP Loknath Behara today said a SIT has been formed to trace the woman, Liga Skromane, said to be suffering from mental depression.

An award of Rs two lakh will be given to the person providing any clues about the missing woman, he said.

The 33-year-old woman had come here along with her sister Ilzie and had gone missing from nearby Kovalam beach since March 14.

Liga was staying at a private Ayurveda treatment centre at nearby Pothencode and had come to Kovalam from the treatment centre in an autorickshaw on March 14 morning.

A case has been registered based on the complaint from the authorities of the treatment centre.

Liga's husband has also reached Kerala to trace her.
