Six go missing after boat capsizes

Six persons, including two girls went missing when a boat capsized in Ghaghra river in Dhaurahra, district officers said here today.

The incident occurred last night when the boat ferrying 11 persons from a weekly market in flooded Manjha Sumali overturned due to strong current in Ghaghra river near Milak village, they said.

Five persons were rescued safely, but six others, including two girls and their mother, and three other men went missing, officers said.

PAC personnel from flood division were pressed into service today to trace the missing.
