Six injured in China blast

Six persons were injured in an explosion at a chemical plant in east China today, state media reported.

The explosion took place at Shanghai Shengying Chemical Co, Ltd in Shanghai Municipality, causing a fire which was brought under control, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

The six injured people have been admitted to a local hospital, the report said, adding firefighters are still working at the scene.
