A person was arrested today with 6.10 kilograms ganja from Gomtipur area of the city, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, crime branch officials raided home of
Rajesh alias Raju Mitha and nabbed him with the substance.
The consignment was worth Rs 30,000. Police also recovered Rs 51,430 from his possession and also seized his mobile phone.
He has been booked under Section 8 (C) and 20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Raju told police that he used to get the consignment from a 50-year-old woman, who would hand him the packet once in a week.
