Six killed, four injured in road accident

Six persons, including four children, were killed and four others injured in a collision between an autorickshaw and a truck on NH 28 in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district today.
The tragedy took place near Pipri Chowk when the speeding truck rammed into the autorickshaw which was transporting 12 people to a wedding at Siho village from nearby Chiknauta village, police said.
While six occupants of the three-wheeler, including the four children, were killed on the spot, four others sustained injuries.
The condition of two of the injured was stated to be serious, they said.
The truck driver fled from the spot after the collision, they said, adding that investigation into the incident is on.
Meanwhile, local people blocked the highway demanding compensation to the kin of the victims.
