A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Fariha area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the girl was playing near her house and one Umesh of the same village took her away with him and later raped her, they said.
The family members came to know about the incident when the girl reached home in a bad condition.
They later registered a complaint and an FIR has been lodged in this regard at the Fariha police station, Circle officer Shailendra Bhardwaj said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
