Sixty fall sick after taking 'prasad' in Tripura

Sixty people fell sick apparently after eating 'prasad' at a puja at Tepania in Gomati district, a district health official today said.

Sixty people, including women and children, came to the hospital with complaints of severe stomach pain and vomiting for treatment yesterday, Medical Superintendent of district hospital Debasish Roy said.

Of them, 21 people were admitted and all of them were out of danger.

The people fell sick after taking 'prasad' at a puja in the village on Tuesday evening, he said.
