SJAM retain table tennis title

Sports Journalists' Association of Mumbai (SJAM) team comprising Ashwin Ferro, Amol Karhadkar and Devendra Pandey retained the title in the A C Bali Trophy table tennis tournament today.

The Mumbai team defeated Sports Writers Association of Bangalore A 2-0 in the final to retain the crown in the event which was organised as part of Sports Journalists Federation of India's 38th national convention here.

Other results: Individual singles: Ashwin Ferro (SJAM A) beat R Kaushik (SWAB A) 3-1 (11-8, 11-9, 7-11, 11-8).

Doubles: Amol Karhadkar and Ashwin Ferro (SJAM A) beat R Kaushik and Roshan Thyagrajan (SWAB A) 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-4)
 

Tamil Nadu B won the team putting championships in golf while Manuja Veerappa (Bangalore, 23 points) won the individual crown.
