Days after police constable Vilas Shinde succumbed to his wounds after being attacked by a biker, his mother died today of a heart attack in Satara.
Kalawati Shinde passed away at around 11 am while she was praying at her residence in Satara, a senior police officer said.
Constable Shinde (50) attached to Bandra traffic division was discharging his duty at a petrol pump when he attacked by a biker and his brother on August 23.
Shinde was injured critically in the attack and remained unconscious for nearly a week. He succumbed to his wounds on August 31.
